Welcome to Human Nutrition (BIO224)!
Course description: An integrated overview of the principles of nutritional science, with emphasis placed on the role of nutrition in improving health. Topics will include guidelines for food intake, physiological roles of nutrients, nutritional concerns throughout the lifecycle, global nutritional issues, and the role of diet in the prevention of disease.

- First 2 weeks (remote start): For the first two weeks of the semester, lecture will be held at its scheduled time over Zoom (synchronously). The Zoom link is here Links to an external site.. Please attend the first day of lecture synchronously, but all subsequent lectures in the first two weeks can be attended either synchronously or asynchronously. I will post Zoom lectures on Canvas immediately after the synchronous lecture.
- It is expected that all students will attend lecture in-person starting Week 3 of the semester.
