Resources for Research Project Participation

The following information and resources will assist students to prepare for participation in a research project as part of their Practicum Requirements. The faculty supervisor for each project will direct their group to the resources or items needed for participation

CITI -  Collaborative Institutional Training Initiative - Training program for the protection of human subjects and ethical research practices. Please follow the instructions below for CITI training:

• Visit: citiprogram.org
• Select: Register
• Select Organization Affiliation: Lebanon Valley College
• Create a CITI Program Username/Password. If you are asked about continuing education credit/classes, select “no”.
• Select: “Learners – Human Subjects Research” as your group
• Complete: Basic Course (7 modules). The passing score for each module quiz is 80%.

Completion time for all seven modules is approximately 2 1/2 hours.

• Print/save the certificate as a PDF and upload under assignments. Save a copy for your records. The training is valid for five years.  Note that the completion date and the expiration date for the training are listed on the certificate.
